In my free time, I love to spend time with friends and family. I love spending time outdoors, watching sports, and playing with my dog. I love meeting and working with families!

Hi. My name is Rachel Hicks and I have been employed by the Danville Independent Schools for the past 5 years. I began my career with FRYSC in the Beacon Youth Service Center at John W Bate Middle School. I worked in the Families First Resource Center at Jennie Rogers Elementary and Hogsett Elementary before returning to the Beacon, YSC last year. I love my job! It’s rewarding to be able to help remove a wide array of barriers to a student’s learning so that they can be more successful in school. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and 17-year-old daughter. We love fishing on the lake, watching sports, and watching movies together.
